Area Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an Area Manager to drive sales performance, oversee store operations, and manage staff across assigned stores in the JB Area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inventory management, visual merchandising, and ensuring retail excellence. A background in Retail Management with strong leadership skills is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance to achieve monthly and annual targets
- Oversee day-to-day store operations and retail environment
- Lead, motivate, and develop Store Managers and store teams
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment
- Ensure adherence to visual merchandising guidelines
Required Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or Retail Management
- 4-5 years of experience in Retail or relevant field
- Willingness to work retail hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently
Job Details
1) Sales & Profitability Drive sales performance across all assigned stores to achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Monitor and analyze sales reports, implement action plans to address underperforming stores. 2) Lead Store Operations · Oversee all day-to-day store activities, ensuring a clean, well-organized, and efficiently run retail environment. 3) Staff Management Lead, motivate, and develop Store Managers and store teams to achieve KPIs. Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and guidance, and manage disciplinary processes when necessary. Ensure adequate staffing and effective scheduling across stores. 4) Inventory & Visual Merchandising Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse or suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. Ensure stores are well-presented and visual merchandising guidelines are adhered to. 5) Other Tasks: · Support marketing or other assignments as needed by management. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field. At least 4-5 years of experience in Retail, or a relevant field will be an added advantage. Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays. Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently between store locations.
