Full Stack Developer

WHAT YOU WILL DO - Develop, enhance and maintain frontend and backend applications, including RESTful APIs and services - Handle database work, including data modelling and schema design, querying, data analysis, troubleshooting, data updates and migrations - Integrate our applications with third-party APIs and services - Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application and production issues - Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-structured code - Test your work and think through edge cases before deployment - Take part in code reviews and help improve code quality and development practices - Translate business requirements into technical solutions - Assist with deployment, monitoring, maintenance and ongoing system improvements - Keep technical documentation up to date where required - Spot potential issues, technical risks and inefficiencies early, and suggest improvements - Support existing and new projects, systems, integrations and other technical initiatives when required - Undertake reasonable ad hoc tasks, assignments or projects relevant to your role REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (preferred) - Minimum 2 years of relevant software development experience - Candidates without a related degree are welcome to apply if they have strong practical experience in full stack web development using the MERN stack or similar technologies Technical Skills You should have a good understanding of, and practical experience in: - HTML, CSS and JavaScript - Node.js and Express.js - React.js - MongoDB - RESTful APIs - Git and version control workflows - Debugging and troubleshooting - Basic software architecture - Basic security practices You’ll Thrive Here If You Are: - A problem-solver who enjoys working out why something broke - Proactive, and comfortable taking initiative - Able to research and learn new things on your own - A critical thinker who verifies before assuming - Keen to keep getting better at your craft Having these skills will double your chances: - Hands-on experience with the full MERN stack - Experience developing and maintaining real-world or production web applications HOW WE USE AI We welcome AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, research, documentation, brainstorming and improving productivity.
