AI Engineering Intern
Job Summary
Troopers is seeking an AI Engineering Intern to help build and test AI agents and automation features for their hiring platform. The intern will work alongside engineers on production-ready tasks, utilizing agentic coding tools and building evaluation datasets. This 3-6 month internship is ideal for computer science students or recent graduates with coding experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Build and test AI agent features across the hiring flow
- Write tests and verification scripts using real data
- Build evaluation datasets and review agent decisions
- Build internal automation performance tools
- Answer data questions with SQL and document work
- Use agentic coding tools like Claude Code
Required Skills
- Coding in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
- Basic SQL proficiency
- Experience or familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude Code
- Experience or eagerness to learn building with LLM APIs
- Strong curiosity, communication, and data privacy awareness
