Account Executive
Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring timely financial reporting, and providing day-to-day finance support for assigned entities within the Harvest Group. The role involves managing general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, month-end closings, and handling audit, tax, and compliance tasks. Candidates should hold a relevant diploma or degree with 2 to 3 years of accounting experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Purpose of the role The Accounts Executive is responsible for accurate accounting records, timely financial reporting, and day-to-day finance support for Harvest Klang Sdn Bhd and assigned entities within the Harvest Group. Key responsibilities Accounting and month-end closing Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and schedules. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations. Assist with monthly closing and investigate discrepancies promptly. Financial reporting and analysis Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules. Compare actual results against budgets and explain significant variances. Prepare financial information requested by management and support budgeting and cash flow monitoring. Audit, tax, and compliance Maintain complete and organised records for audit and statutory purposes. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities as assigned. Assist with tax, SST, e-Invoicing, and other applicable submissions, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met. Finance operations and controls Verify supporting documents and approval before processing transactions. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with relevant departments. Maintain fixed asset records and assist with inventory or asset checks where applicable. Follow company financial policies, confidentiality, requirements, and internal controls. Shared services support Coordinate with the finance and operations teams across assigned Harvest Group entities. Provide clear financial information and resolve accounting queries in a timely manner. Undertake other finance duties reasonably assigned by the reporting manager. Requirements Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification is an advantage. At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably covering full sets of accounts. Working knowledge of Malaysian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and sound judgment when handling confidential information. Good communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues across different business units.
