Job Details

Responsibilities Own two B2B sales verticals: map market, list target accounts, identify decision makers and buying cycles, and build a 12-month territory plan reviewed quarterly. Prospect and generate demand via structured outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp); secure first meetings with sports coordinators, procurement officers, club secretaries and owners; visit prospects and accounts across the Klang Valley and other states as needed; represent GS Gill at school sports days, tournaments, clinics and trade events. Manage pipeline and close: qualify needs, prepare quotations, price proposals and tender submissions; negotiate within approved limits; manage opportunities in CRM with accurate stage, value and close date; provide weekly forecasts; close orders and hand them to Inside Sales and Sales Operations and remain accountable until payment; support collection of outstanding invoices. Develop and retain accounts: onboard won accounts, set replenishment/seasonal ordering patterns, move repeat orders onto the web shop, grow share of wallet (including own-label lines), propose bundles/sponsorship/kit programmes where appropriate, and resolve account issues with Operations and Product. Report and feedback: deliver weekly activity and pipeline reports and a monthly vertical review against quota; provide competitor pricing, product gaps and market intelligence to Product Management; keep customer and contact data current in CRM in compliance with PDPA 2010. Qualifications & Requirements 2–4 years of B2B sales, business development or key account experience with a demonstrable record against a personal sales target. Proven hunter: comfortable with cold outreach, first meetings and negotiating to a close; able to show a pipeline they built themselves. Able to write clear quotations or proposals and respond to institutional tenders and quotation requests. Disciplined with CRM usage, weekly forecasting and territory planning; numerate on pricing and margins. Fluent written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or Tamil an advantage. Own transport and a valid Malaysian driving licence; willing to travel across the Klang Valley and periodically to other states. Diploma or degree in business, marketing, sports science or a related field. Malaysian citizen or permanent resident. Nice to have Experience selling to schools, universities, government agencies, state sports councils, sports associations or clubs, including familiarity with public procurement and quotation processes. Background in sporting goods, sports retail, fitness equipment, team kit or event supply; network in Malaysian school, club or association sport or a personal sporting background. Experience with sponsorship, kit or grassroots programmes. Personal qualities Persistent and self-directed; treats the two verticals as their own business. Credible with headmasters, coaches and procurement officers; listens before pitching. Works cleanly with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure sold items are delivered and paid.
