Job Description:
On-Set & Location Capture (50%)
- Dual-Media Execution: Lead the physical capture of high-quality digital photography and videography simultaneously on set, ensuring both asset types are fulfilled per the brief.
- Technical Rigging: Independently set up, operate, and tear down production gear, including mirrorless/cinema cameras, mobile stabilization rigs, professional lighting (continuous and strobe), and multi-channel audio equipment.
- Art Direction Translation: Interpret the Social Producer’s mood boards and shot lists, making real-time creative decisions regarding framing, composition, lens selection, and camera movement.
- Talent Guidance: Comfortably direct creators, actors, or client staff on set to capture authentic, high-energy, and natural movements optimized for social media.
- Environmental Adaptability: Run efficient shoots across highly diverse settings, ranging from controlled studio environments and corporate offices to fast-paced outdoor lifestyle and event locations.
Post-Production & Editing (40%)
- Short-Form Video Editing: Cut, pace, and assemble raw video footage into highly engaging vertical formats (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and horizontal brand videos.
- Photo Asset Curation: Batch-process, culling, and retouching raw photography to deliver flawless static imagery for social grids, carousels, and web banners.
- Aesthetic & Trend Alignment: Apply advanced color grading, sound design (trending audio syncing, sound effects), text overlays, native platform fonts, and basic motion graphics.
- Platform Optimization: Ensure all final outputs strictly adhere to specific platform dimensions, file compressions, safe-zone layouts, and technical specifications.
- Iterative Revisions: Implement constructive feedback from the Social Producer and internal stakeholders rapidly, managing version control (V1, V2, Final) cleanly.
Equipment & Asset Management (10%)
- Digital Asset Architecture: Maintain a strict, standardized file naming convention and folder structure on agency cloud servers/SSDs to ensure seamless team access.
- Gear Stewardship: Oversee the care, organization, data-clearing, and maintenance of all agency-owned camera, lighting, and audio gear. Proactively flag repair or upgrade needs.
- Trend R&D: Dedicate time to analyzing evolving social media visual styles, algorithmic editing trends, and new platform features to keep client content looking ahead of the curve.
Reporting Structure & Collaboration Boundaries
- Direct Report: Reports directly to the Social Producer.
- The Workflow Boundary: The Social Producer will hand you a finalized brief, handle client relationship management, and lock in the shoot dates. Once on set, you take creative command of the lens and the technical execution. In post-production, you present your drafts to the Social Producer for internal quality assurance before it ever reaches the client.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Deliverable Punctuality: Meeting or exceeding post-production deadlines set by the Social Producer to keep client content calendars on track.
- Brand Fidelity: The ability to consistently hit a client's specific aesthetic guidelines without needing heavy artistic re-direction.
- Asset Yield: Maximizing the volume of usable, high-quality micro-content captured from a single production shoot.
- Technical Accuracy: Delivering files that are perfectly formatted, cleanly exported, and free of safe-zone text cutting or export glitches.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience working as a hybrid photographer/videographer and editor, ideally within a fast-paced creative agency or a high-output in-house brand team.
- Has a diverse digital portfolio or showreel showcasing both commercial-grade photography (lifestyle, product, or corporate) and social-first vertical video edits. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop. Familiarity with After Effects, CapCut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of modern mirrorless camera ecosystems (Sony, Canon, or Panasonic), wireless audio systems (DJI, Rode), and portable lighting setups.
- Must possess the cognitive agility/adaptibility to shoot for a sleek, minimalist corporate brand in the morning and edit an energetic, colorful Gen-Z trend piece in the afternoon.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview and complete a Video Editor cum Videographer assessment as part of the evaluation process.
