Job Summary
My Kiddyland / Lunix Kids Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced HR Manager to independently lead all HR functions across three branches with full decision-making authority. The role involves managing the full recruitment cycle, overseeing employee relations and disciplinary matters, and ensuring compliance with local employment acts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HR generalist experience and a strong background in handling disciplinary cases independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage full recruitment cycle across all branches
- Handle disciplinary hearings, warnings, and terminations
- Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967
- Maintain personnel files, attendance records, and HR documentation
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of local employment acts
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Manage full recruitment cycle: job posting, screening, interviews, offer negotiation
- Oversee onboarding process and documentation for new hires across all branches
- Independently handle warning letters, staff counselling, disciplinary hearings, and termination processes
- Conduct investigations, interviews, and statement-taking
- Ensure procedural compliance with the Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967
- Design and administer probation/performance appraisal processes
- Coordinate staff training programs, including HRDF claims and attendance tracking
- Maintain and enforce company HR policies and employee handbook
- Prepare and submit compliance/audit reports
- Monitor Approval Flow and Org Chart structures, flagging when updates are needed
- Maintain personnel files, attendance records, and HR documentation across all 3 branches
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all branch staff and management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years in a role holding independent decision-making authority
- Proven track record independently managing disciplinary cases, warnings, and terminations
- Strong working knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967
- Willing and able to travel regularly across 3 branch locations
- Experience in early childhood education / childcare sector is an advantage
- Strong judgment, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
