Interior Design Intern
Job Summary
Mood and Wonders Studio is seeking an Interior Design Intern to assist with design presentations, AutoCAD or SketchUp drawings, and site coordination. The successful candidate will also support administrative duties, project documentation, and brand content creation. This internship provides hands-on experience across the full design and build process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing design presentations and drawings (AutoCAD/SketchUp)
- Support site visits, progress documentation, and coordination
- Handle project documentation, quotations, and administrative tasks
- Contribute to brand content creation and photography for social media
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or completed Diploma/Degree in Interior Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp
- Detail-oriented and reliable with initiative
- Understanding of minimalist and considered aesthetics
Job Details
Design & Drawings
- Assist in preparing design presentations and mood boards
- Support AutoCAD or SketchUp drawings under designer guidance
- Help compile material schedules and product sourcing
Site Coordination
- Accompany site visits and assist in documenting site progress
- Help track and follow up on site checklists and snag lists
- Coordinate simple information between office and site team
Admin & Documentation
- Assist in preparing quotations, purchase orders, and project files
- Organise and maintain project folders and records
- Support invoicing and billing documentation when needed
Brand & Social Media
- Photograph completed spaces, materials, and process moments
- Assist in creating content for Instagram aligned with the MW visual language
- Help curate and maintain a library of project references and photography
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design
- Eager to learn the full design and build process, not just the glamorous parts
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable taking initiative
- An eye for quiet, considered aesthetics — you understand that less is more
