Mathematics Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated educator to teach Mathematics through boardgames at our academy. The role involves guiding students aged 3 to 12 using innovative, concept-based teaching methods. You will be responsible for classroom delivery, student progress tracking, and preparing learning materials.
Responsibilities
- Teach PlayHub Maths Boardgames programme
- Deliver Kindergarten and Primary level Maths lessons
- Prioritise concept understanding over memorisation
- Monitor and discuss student progress with management
- Manage classroom materials and attendance
Required Skills
- A grade in SPM/IGCSE Mathematics
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Experience with SJKC syllabus
- Passion for innovative teaching
- Experience with children aged 3-12
Job Details
Teachers at PlayHub are expected to:
- Master and teach the PlayHub Maths Boardgames programme
- Teach Kindergarten and Primary level Maths (SJKC or International school syllabus)
- Model a fun and engaging approach to teaching
- Prioritise understanding of concepts, rather than memorisation / drilling
- Collaborate closely with management to review and discuss student progress
- Manage student experience via tasks such as preparing learning materials, updating attendance, tracking replacements, etc.
Requirements:
- A for Mathematics in SPM, IGCSE or equivalent
- Open to innovative methods of teaching
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) to handle SJKC syllabus
- Flexible and patient in guiding learners from ages 3 to 12
- Willing to work on 1 weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
- A team-player
- Outgoing and energetic, specifically in the classroom
