Job Summary
PlayHub is seeking a dedicated and inspired Mathematics teacher to join our academy. The role involves teaching Kindergarten and Primary level Maths through an engaging boardgame-based curriculum. You will foster conceptual understanding and manage student learning experiences in a fun, meaningful environment.
Responsibilities
- Master and teach boardgame-based Maths curriculum
- Teach Kindergarten and Primary level students
- Manage classroom materials and student progress
- Collaborate with management on student development
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Mathematics (SPM/IGCSE 'A')
- Fluent in Mandarin (Chinese)
- Experience with young learners (3-12 years old)
- Innovative teaching approach
Job Details
Teachers at PlayHub are expected to:
- Master and teach the PlayHub Maths Boardgames programme.
- Teach Kindergarten and Primary level Maths (SJKC or International school syllabus).
- Model a fun and engaging approach to teaching.
- Prioritise understanding of concepts, rather than memorisation / drilling.
- Collaborate closely with management to review and discuss student progress.
- Manage student experience via tasks such as preparing learning materials, updating attendance, tracking replacements, etc.
Requirements:
- A for Mathematics in SPM, IGCSE or equivalent.
- Open to innovative methods of teaching.
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) to handle SJKC syllabus.
- Flexible and patient in guiding learners from ages 3 to 12.
- Willing to work on 1 weekend (Saturday or Sunday).
- A team-player.
- Outgoing and energetic, specifically in the classroom.
