Job Summary
As a Retail Sales associate, you will help build memorable in-store experiences, set up fresh displays, and grow regular customers through thoughtful service. This hands-on role allows you to build practical sales experience, expand product knowledge across sportswear and equipment, and improve retail operations skills. You will play a key part in shaping how products are presented and sold while connecting with local customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
- Greet customers, listen to their needs, and recommend products that match their sport or budget.
- Drive daily sales by using friendly conversation and suggestive selling to meet store targets.
- Process payments and returns accurately using the point of sale system.
- Follow up on customer enquiries and arrange fittings or special orders when needed.
Store Operations & Merchandising
- Keep displays tidy and restock shelves so high demand items are easy to find.
- Receive deliveries, assist with stock counts, and update simple inventory records.
- Prepare pricing, tagging, and promotional displays for new launches and sale periods.
Teamwork & Growth
- Work closely with the store team to hit weekly targets and share observations on product trends.
- Attend short product and service training sessions and apply learnings on the shop floor.
- Suggest small improvements to store routines and help during busy trading hours.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- No prior retail experience required, fresh graduates and those new to retail are welcome.
- Available to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Basic cash handling and willingness to learn POS operations.
- Familiarity or interest in visual merchandising and simple stock replenishment routines.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic store apps for orders and inventory checks.
Soft Skills & Qualities
- Clear and friendly communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Customer focused, patient, and able to handle simple concerns calmly.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for long periods during shifts.
