Tax Assistant
Job Summary
Bispoint Tax Consultants is seeking a Tax Assistant to join their growing professional services team in Kota Damansara. The role involves hands-on experience in tax compliance, preparing corporate and individual tax returns, and conducting tax research. Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate and individual tax returns
- Liaise with LHDN officers on tax matters
- Maintain tax records and perform data entry
- Assist with tax audits and tax research
Required Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
Job Details
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist in the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Liaise with officers from LHDN on tax-related matters and respond to enquiries.
- Gather financial information and maintain proper tax records and supporting documents, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Perform data entry for tax computations and assist in preparing tax schedules and working papers.
- Organise, scan, and file tax-related documents in an accurate and systematic manner.
- Enter financial data into accounting and tax software.
- Assist Tax Seniors and Managers with tax audits, tax research, and the analysis of financial information.
- Support the tax team with day-to-day client matters and compliance tasks.
Requirements
- Must-Haves:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Able to communicate in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, including customers from China.
- No work experience required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Excel.
- Good-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with AutoCount, SQL, UBS, or other accounting software.
- Preferably specialized in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent.
