Job Brief : The Assistant Manager, Talent Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of Talent Operations, ensuring manpower requirements are fulfilled effectively while maintaining strong talent attendance, completion and service quality. The role supports the Head of Talent Operations in managing team performance, resolving operational issues, improving processes and ensuring the team consistently delivers against business and client requirements. Talent Operations & Fulfilment - Oversee daily manpower requirements across assigned projects and clients. - Ensure hiring and fulfilment targets are achieved. - Identify manpower gaps early and drive recovery plans with recruiters. - Prioritise urgent, high-volume and business-critical projects. - Monitor attendance, cancellations, drop-offs and replacements. - Ensure operational issues are resolved promptly with minimal client impact. Team Management - Supervise and guide recruiters and Talent Operations team members. - Conduct daily follow-ups on hiring progress, gaps and priorities. - Ensure clear task ownership and accountability within the team. - Coach team members who are underperforming and implement improvement plans where required. - Support onboarding and training of new team members. - Act as the first escalation point before matters are escalated to the Head of Talent Operations. Talent Quality & Performance - Monitor talent performance, attendance and behavioural issues. - Ensure talent tagging, feedback and performance records are properly documented. - Review recurring talent issues and recommend appropriate actions. - Maintain a healthy and reliable talent pool for recurring and high-value projects. - Work with the team to improve talent retention, reactivation and repeat participation. Operational Governance - Ensure operational SOPs, hiring requirements and client-specific requirements are followed. - Monitor team trackers and ensure information is accurate and updated on time. - Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for operational decisions. - Identify recurring operational gaps and recommend process improvements. - Support implementation of new processes, systems and Talent Operations initiatives. Stakeholder & Escalation Management - Coordinate closely with Talent Operations and other internal teams on manpower requirements. - Manage operational escalations and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders. - Escalate significant risks, recurring issues or client-impacting matters to the Head of Talent Operations. - Support investigations and provide operational records/data where required. Reporting & Performance Management - Monitor daily, weekly and monthly Talent Operations performance. - Analyse hiring gaps, fulfilment, attendance, drop-offs and other operational trends. - Prepare performance updates and highlight areas requiring intervention. - Drive corrective actions where KPIs are below target. Requirements Qualifications : - Minimum 3 years’ experience in Operations and or Recruitment - 1–2 years’ team leadership/supervisory experience - Strong people management, operational and problem-solving skills - Able to manage high-volume, fast-paced operations and multiple priorities - Strong ownership, accountability and sense of urgency - Strong in reporting, data tracking and performance analysis - Proficient in Google Sheets, including formulas, data management, trackers and reporting - Proficient in Google Slides, with the ability to prepare clear management presentations - Able to build and maintain operational trackers, dashboards and performance reports - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy - Good communication and stakeholder management skills - Gig economy / manpower / staffing experience is an advantage - Willing to support weekends/public holidays when operationally required
