Job Summary
Happy Penguins Child Care Centre is looking for a caring, responsible and passionate Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher to join the team. The role involves working with children from infancy to 4 years old, supporting their daily care, development, learning and emotional well-being in a safe, warm and nurturing environment. Successful candidates will help plan learning activities, support daily routines, and maintain a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants and young children
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate learning and play activities
- Support children’s physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, hygiene and rest time
- Work closely with other teachers and team members to provide consistent care

- Early Childhood Education qualification or experience is an advantage

- Participate in school events, celebrations, activities and outings.
- Follow the centre’s health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
- Maintain a positive, respectful and professional relationship with children, parents and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Passionate about working with babies, toddlers and young children.
- Caring, patient, responsible and attentive.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Creative and enthusiastic when planning activities for young children.
- Early Childhood Education qualification is an advantage.
- Previous childcare or infant care experience is an advantage.
