Job Summary

This role is the backbone of the on-site service, acting as the first point of contact to coordinate arrivals and departures. The position requires managing daily operations seamlessly, handling guest enquiries in English and Chinese, and ensuring high guest satisfaction. It offers an opportunity to build front-line hospitality experience while supporting overall team goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage check-in, check-out, and guest billing accurately.
  • Handle phone and email reservations via property management systems.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for room readiness.
  • Promote on-site services and assist with guest inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent in hospitality or related field.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Basic knowledge of front office systems and PMS.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Job Details

Responsibilities Guest Experience - Greet every guest with a warm, efficient check-in that sets a calm tone for their stay. - Handle enquiries in English and Chinese clearly, resolve routine requests, and escalate issues to supervisors when needed. - Manage check-in, check-out and billing with attention to accuracy and guest satisfaction. - Keep an organised guest log and record special requests so the team can follow up promptly. Front Desk Operations - Process phone and email reservations and maintain records in the property management system. - Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are prepared and repairs are tracked to completion. - Maintain the front desk area, control keys or access cards, and follow cash handling and petty cash procedures. - Prepare daily arrival and departure reports to enable smooth handovers between shifts. Sales & Coordination - Share information about on-site services and promotions to help guests choose suitable options. - Assist with simple upsell opportunities such as room upgrades or add-on services in a polite, helpful way. - Arrange small group arrivals, wake calls, and local transport with external providers as required. - Record guest feedback and pass actionable notes to managers to support continual improvement. Requirements Qualifications & Experience - Fresh graduates or applicants with around 0 years of experience are welcome to apply. - Minimum Diploma or equivalent is required; hospitality certificates are a plus. - Available to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as scheduled by the hotel. - Right to work in Malaysia must be met, where applicable to your situation. Hard Skills & Knowledge - Basic knowledge of front office systems or a clear willingness to learn property management software quickly. - Clear spoken and written English and Chinese to serve a mixed guest profile. - Familiarity with reservation flow, billing processes, and simple cash handling procedures. - Comfortable using email, phone systems, PMS and basic tools for reports. Soft Skills & Qualities - Polite, patient communication style with a genuine focus on positive guest interactions. - Strong time management and coordination skills to handle peak periods without losing accuracy. - Practical problem solving that stays calm under pressure and finds helpful, clear solutions. - Collaborative team player who shares information and supports colleagues across shifts.
