Finance Intern Protégé
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Account Protege to support our Finance/Accounts team with daily accounting and administrative activities. This programme provides hands-on exposure to basic accounting processes, financial documentation, data entry, and finance operations in a fast-paced working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily finance and accounting administrative tasks
- Perform data entry for invoices, receipts, and payments
- Assist with AP/AR activities and bank reconciliation
- Support month-end closing and audit preparation
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Good attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily finance and accounting administrative tasks.
- Perform data entry for invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
- Assist in preparing and organising invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Assist with checking and recording expenses and supporting documents.
- Assist with bank reconciliation and other reconciliation tasks.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist in preparing basic finance reports and schedules.
- Assist with tracking outstanding payments and receivables.
- Support the Finance team during month-end closing activities.
- Assist with audit preparation and providing supporting documents when required.
- Perform other finance-related duties and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised and able to maintain proper documentation.
- Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
