Tea Barista

About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team at YIHETANG as Junior or Senior Baristas. You will be responsible for preparing quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth daily outlet operations. Experienced candidates may be considered for the Senior Barista position, with additional responsibilities in guiding team members and supporting outlet operations. Fresh graduates and candidates without prior experience are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities - Prepare tea, milk tea and other beverages according to recipes and quality standards. - Prepare ingredients and toppings, ensuring freshness and proper storage. - Greet customers, take orders accurately and recommend drinks. - Handle cashier duties and process payments correctly. - Serve beverages promptly and ensure orders are complete. - Maintain cleanliness of preparation areas, equipment, serving counters and customer seating areas. - Replenish ingredients, cups and other supplies throughout the shift. - Assist with stock receiving, inventory checks and reporting shortages or expired ingredients. - Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking. - Work closely with teammates to ensure smooth daily outlet operations. - Follow company procedures, food safety and hygiene standards. Additional Responsibilities (Senior Barista) - Guide and train junior baristas on beverage preparation, customer service and daily procedures. - Monitor beverage quality, consistency and operational efficiency. - Assist the Outlet Manager with daily operations and team coordination. - Support inventory management, stock control and minimising wastage. - Handle customer feedback and resolve minor operational issues when necessary. - Ensure team members follow company standards and operating procedures. Requirements Junior Barista - Fresh graduates and applicants without prior experience are welcome. - Willing to learn and undergo training. - Friendly, responsible and customer-oriented. - Able to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment. Senior Barista - Previous working experience in F&B, preferably in beverage preparation or a similar role. - Good knowledge of daily outlet operations, customer service and hygiene standards. - Able to guide junior team members and handle operational responsibilities. - Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. General Requirements - Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays. - Punctual, reliable and committed to maintaining service standards. - Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve. - Position offered (Junior or Senior) will be based on the candidate's experience, skills and suitability. Requirements About You Junior Barista: No prior F&B experience required. Fresh graduates and candidates without experience are encouraged to apply; training will be provided. Senior Barista: Previous experience in F&B, preferably in beverage preparation or a similar role, with the ability to guide junior team members and support daily outlet operations. - Willing to learn and continuously improve beverage preparation and customer service skills. - Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese is an added advantage. - Friendly, responsible, punctual and able to work well in a team. - Able to follow recipes, instructions and company operating procedures accurately. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods. - Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. - Willing to complete food handler training and obtain a valid typhoid vaccination before handling food. - For senior applicants, good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are an added advantage. - The position offered (Junior or Senior Barista) will be based on the candidate's experience, skills and suitability.
