Responsibilities
Classroom Teaching
- Lead daily Mandarin sessions using songs, stories and guided play to introduce core vocabulary and social skills.
- Create warm, predictable routines that support independence and expressive behaviour during circle time and free play.
- Use hands-on materials and sensory activities to reinforce language in real contexts.
- Manage transitions and support positive behaviour with age-appropriate strategies.
Lesson Planning & Assessment
- Design short, play-based lesson plans and reusable resources aligned to early literacy and character habits.
- Develop simple formative checks and observation notes to record progress and adapt lessons.
- Pilot activities, collect teacher and child feedback, and refine resources for use across centres.
- Prepare clear learning objectives and materials for each session to maximise engagement.
Team & Family Partnership
- Collaborate in regular team planning and cross-centre meetings to keep practice consistent.
- Share student updates and classroom routines with families in a kind, clear way.
- Join coaching and mentoring sessions to improve classroom practice and implement feedback.
- Act as a role model by modelling respect, patience and strong communication with children and colleagues.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Teaching or related field is required; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prior preschool or childcare experience is an advantage but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Willingness to learn, attend scheduled coaching, and grow into classroom leadership roles over time.
- Availability to teach at our centres, with openness to collaborate across locations when needed.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Strong spoken Mandarin and the ability to tell simple stories and teach basic vocabulary clearly to young children.
- Practical experience or aptitude in creating play-based lesson plans and hands-on teaching materials.
- Basic assessment and observation skills to track progress and modify activities for varied ages.
- Familiarity with classroom routines, early literacy concepts and positive behaviour guidance.
