Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary
As the Warehouse Supervisor at Cooperteams Distribution Sdn Bhd, you will lead a hands-on team to ensure smooth daily operations, accurate stock control, and efficient automotive parts distribution. You will coordinate inventory flows, supervise warehouse staff, and drive process improvements to meet service targets. Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control
- Manage receiving, put-away, cycle counts and periodic stocktakes to keep inventory records accurate and audit-ready.
- Organise storage layouts and bin locations to reduce picking time and prevent overstocking.
- Handle returns, warranty items and damaged goods with proper documentation and follow-up.
Operations & Team Leadership
- Schedule and supervise warehouse staff, assign daily tasks and monitor performance against KPIs.
- Run briefings, train team members on procedures, and address attendance or basic HR matters.
- Produce regular management reports on stock levels, throughput and discrepancies for operations review.
- Coordinate with drivers, procurement and workshop teams to prioritise urgent parts and shipments.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety procedures and PPE usage, conduct toolbox talks and record incident reports.
- Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and ensure compliance with handling requirements for automotive parts.
- Schedule routine equipment checks and arrange minor maintenance or vendor support when needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics or materials handling roles, with at least 2 years supervising staff.
- Experience in the automotive parts, manufacturing or related supply chain preferred and will be an advantage.
- Certificate or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or industrial operations preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong.
- Familiarity with WMS or ERP systems is preferred, and exposure to systems like SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Proven Inventory Management and Stock Control skills including cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Competent in Management Reporting, basic Excel for KPIs and logistics planning tasks.
- Practical knowledge of warehouse equipment, forklift operations and safety assurance procedures.
- Understanding of parts traceability and automotive supply chain flows to minimise disruptions.
Soft Skills & Qualities
- Clear Communication and leadership, able to coach team members and keep the floor focused under pressure.
- Strong Problem Solving and attention to detail to quickly resolve discrepancies and prevent repeat issues.
- Good Time Management and the ability to prioritise tasks across receiving, picking and dispatch cycles.
- Reliable, practical mindset with a willingness to support occasional overtime or weekend needs when operations demand.
