Management Trainee
Job Summary
As a Management Trainee, you will be part of a small team building scalable advisory processes, client-facing materials and internal reporting tools. This role is designed so you can rotate through client work, back-office operations and project coordination to gain broad exposure quickly. You will position yourself for an early leadership or specialist role after the trainee rotation ends.

Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Advisory Support
- Prepare concise client briefings, memos and presentation decks for meetings with senior advisors.
- Support client interactions by taking notes, tracking action items and following up to keep projects moving.
- Help collect and verify client documents for compliance and trust administration tasks.
- Draft routine client communications and maintain timely updates in our CRM.
Operations & Project Coordination
- Coordinate small projects from intake to delivery, tracking timelines and milestones using shared tools.
- Create and improve standard operating procedures and templates for recurring tasks.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping entries and expense tracking to support finance workflows.
- Run periodic checks on files and records to ensure accuracy and regulatory readiness.
Learning & Continuous Improvement
- Attend training sessions and shadow senior staff to learn technical and client management skills.
- Research regulatory updates and summarise implications for the team in short notes.
- Contribute ideas to simplify processes and make day-to-day work more efficient.
- Keep a learning log to track progress and areas for development during the rotation.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, any discipline, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 0 years of formal work experience expected, but relevant internships or project work is a plus.
- Available for a full-time trainee programme with willingness to rotate across functions.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements is preferred.
- Familiarity with document management, CRM or simple bookkeeping tools will help.
- Comfortable summarising information and producing clear written notes and checklists.
Soft Skills & Qualities
- Strong verbal and written communication in English, with good attention to detail.
- Mastering Chinese will be added advantage.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage competing tasks with basic prioritisation skills.
- Curious and coachable, open to feedback and eager to learn from experienced colleagues.
