Software Developer Intern
Job Summary
Skribble Me Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Software Developer Intern to join their Lab/Tech team for a hybrid internship. The intern will gain hands-on experience building web applications and SaaS products while working closely with experienced developers. This role offers an opportunity to strengthen technical foundations in backend or fullstack development through real-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining web applications and SaaS products
- Write clean code and follow software development best practices
- Work with databases, APIs, and backend technologies like PHP/Laravel
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and Agile team collaboration
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, and programming concepts
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Strong logical thinking and willingness to learn PHP/Laravel

What You’ll Do
- Assist with Software Development: Assist developers in building and maintaining web applications and SaaS products; Write and improve code under the guidance of experienced developers; Contribute to assigned development tasks and project requirements
- Learn & Apply Development Practices: Follow coding standards and development best practices; Write clean, structured, and maintainable code; Learn how software is developed, tested, reviewed, and deployed
- Work with Project Requirements: Assist in understanding technical requirements and project tasks; Translate simple requirements or mock-ups into working solutions; Participate in technical discussions and share ideas
- Database & Backend Development: Assist with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server; Learn how applications interact with databases and APIs; Gain exposure to backend development using PHP/Laravel
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist in testing software features; Identify and troubleshoot bugs with guidance from the development team; Learn systematic approaches to solving technical problems
- Agile & Team Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly sprint reviews; Communicate your progress and challenges with the team; Collaborate with developers and project leads throughout the development process
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of programming concepts
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Strong logical and analytical thinking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn PHP/Laravel
- Able to commit to the required internship period
