Job Summary
Coffeebot Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Intern to gain hands-on accounting experience within a growing F&B setup. The role involves handling daily finance tasks, assisting with reporting routines, and ensuring clean transaction flows across cafes. This internship provides practical exposure to accounting software, bank reconciliations, and month-end support.

Responsibilities
Daily Transactions
- Record sales, receipts, and petty cash entries accurately using Excel or our POS exports.
- Prepare and file daily cash summaries and support cash counts at outlets when required.
- Manage basic invoice entry for suppliers and assist with payment preparations under guidance.
- Track and log expense receipts for reimbursements and supplier claims.
Reporting & Reconciliation
- Perform daily and weekly reconciliations between bank statements, POS reports, and accounting records.
- Help prepare simple ledger entries and support month-end closing tasks.
- Create clear, scannable sales and expense reports for managers to review.
- Flag inconsistencies and suggest fixes to improve data quality.
Stakeholder Support
- Work with store staff to resolve transaction questions and collect missing documentation.
- Support supplier queries and assist with basic vendor onboarding paperwork.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline routine processes and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- No prior work experience required, familiarity with basic accounting concepts is preferred.
- Available for an internship term and flexible with some in-person visits to outlets.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas and simple pivot tables.
- Comfortable with data entry, invoice processing, and basic reconciliations.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Malaysian sales tax practices and retail POS reports is helpful.
