What You’ll Be Doing
1. Build the Right Team
You’ll help us find the right people to grow with the company. Manage recruitment from job posting, screening and interviews to onboarding. Recruit permanent staff, part-timers, event crew, kitchen crew and operations team. Build and maintain a reliable manpower and part-time crew database. Plan manpower requirements based on upcoming events and operational needs. Create better ways to attract good talent — not just post a job and hope for the best. Make sure new hires have a smooth onboarding experience.
2. Own Attendance, Payroll & OT
Events don’t always happen 9-to-5 — so this role plays an important part in keeping attendance and payroll organised. You’ll:
Manage monthly payroll and staff attendance.
Track clock-in, clock-out, lateness, leave and overtime.
Verify OT with Department Heads / Site Supervisors before payroll processing.
Manage allowances, claims, replacement leave and other staff entitlements.
Ensure EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB matters are properly managed.
Maintain accurate payroll and attendance records.
Look for ways to improve our payroll and attendance system. Our goal: less manual work, fewer mistakes and no mysterious OT.
3. Upgrade Our HR System & SOP
If you see a process and think, "There has to be a better way to do this…" You’re probably our person. You’ll:
Improve HR systems, workflows and approval processes.
Review and update company policies and SOPs.
Standardise procedures across Venue, Kitchen, Decoration and Operations teams.
Maintain employee records, contracts, leave records and HR documentation.
Improve how we manage attendance, payroll, manpower and performance.
Help move repetitive HR processes into better digital systems. We love simple systems that actually work.
4. Manage Event Manpower
This is where HR meets event operations. You’ll work closely with our Operations Team to make sure every event has enough manpower. You’ll help coordinate manpower for:
Event setup
Event day
Kitchen operations
Venue operations
Decoration
Dismantling
Part-time crew
You’ll also monitor manpower cost, working hours and overtime so we can run events efficiently without burning out the team.
5. Help the Team Perform Better
Good people need good direction. You’ll help us build a culture where people understand what’s expected and how they can grow. You’ll:
Set up KPI and performance tracking.
Manage probation reviews and performance evaluations.
Identify staff who need coaching or improvement plans.
Organise training and upskilling sessions.
Work with department heads to improve team performance.
Build recognition and reward initiatives.
Plan team engagement and team-building activities.
We’re not looking for a "police HR". We want someone who can balance people + performance + accountability.
6. Be Management’s HR Partner
You won’t just process paperwork. You’ll work closely with management and provide useful insights about what’s happening inside the company. You’ll prepare HR updates such as:
Total headcount
Payroll cost
OT cost
Staff turnover
Attendance issues
Recruitment status
Manpower requirements
Performance issues
Manpower cost per event
And most importantly — you’ll help us identify problems before they become bigger problems.
