Job Summary
Oversee full sets of accounts and financial reporting for multiple clients while ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of junior accountants while serving as a key advisor for clients. Collaborate with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and statutory authorities.

- Fluent in English and Malay
Job Details
Client & Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of full sets of accounts for multiple clients across various industries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS, MPERS, IFRS). Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements and management reports. Present and elucidate management accounts and account analysis to clients, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with clients, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and statutory authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth operations.
Team Leadership & Client Advisory: Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior accountants, ensuring high standards of performance. Conduct internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to keep the team updated on regulatory changes and best practices. Serve as the key client liaison for management reports. Lead by example by allocating, monitoring, and reviewing team members’ work, fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture.
Management Skills: Work closely with internal auditors and tax consultants. Supervise and support the accounts team to ensure timely completion of tasks. Undertake other ad hoc assignments as required by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA/MICPA/CPA Malaysia qualification.
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of MFRS, MPERS, SST, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL, UBS, and Xero.
- Strong people management and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle client and operational challenges effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Malay (spoken and written) to liaise with local and international clients.
