Baker Pastry Commis
Job Summary
Tiny Afters Patisserie is looking for a Baker or Pastry Commis to execute product preparation, including baking tart pastry and assisting in assembly and decoration. The role requires coordinating with staff to ensure timely delivery while upholding quality standards and kitchen hygiene. Ideal candidates should possess a passion for baking, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and a great personality, as prior work experience is not strictly required.
Responsibilities
- Execute product preparation including baking, assembling, and decorating tarts
- Coordinate with kitchen and operations staff for timely delivery
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and a clean baking area
- Uphold quality standards through recipe adherence and portion control
- Assist in inventory control and ingredient monitoring
Required Skills
- Previous baking experience or passion for baking
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment (mixers, blenders, handling fruits)
- Willingness to learn
- Strong positive personality
Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the preparation of products (baking of tart pastry & assist in the assembling and decoration of tarts)
- Coordinate with kitchen and operations staff to ensure timely delivery of baked goods
- Have knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
- Uphold Tiny After’s standards for product quality through precise adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized baking area, including storage of ingredients
- Assist in inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels
Requirements Skills
- Previous baking experience/ passion for baking is an added advantage
- Have familiarity with kitchen equipments, including mixers, blenders, handling fruits
