Job Summary
The Receptionist provides warm, efficient, and professional service at the front desk, handling guest arrivals, departures, inquiries, and reservations to ensure a pleasant experience. No previous hotel experience is required, and fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates must be able to communicate in Chinese for work-related guest interactions.

Job Details
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Handle guest inquiries, reservations, room assignments, and general requests accurately.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and nearby attractions.
• Attend to guest requests and follow up promptly when service recovery is required.
• Manage incoming telephone calls and messages professionally.
• Operate the Property Management System for bookings, billing, and night-audit support.
• Handle cash and credit-card transactions and maintain accurate shift reports.
• Update room-status information and coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments.
• Monitor guest accounts, special requests, and VIP listings.
• Report maintenance issues, irregularities, and guest concerns to the Duty Manager.
• Support Front Office operations during busy periods.
• Follow the hotel’s safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Protect the confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
Requirements
• No previous working experience is required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Chinese-language communication skills are required for work-related guest interactions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented, helpful, and professional attitude.
• Familiarity with Opera or another hotel Property Management System is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Able to handle multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work rotating shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Professional appearance, grooming, and conduct.
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
