Software Developer Intern
Job Summary
Sanyong Tech & Trade Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Software Developer Intern for web and system development starting from late September 2026. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining web applications, supporting backend and frontend tasks, and fixing bugs. Candidates should be currently pursuing a relevant degree and have basic programming knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining web applications
- Support backend and/or frontend development tasks
- Fix bugs and improve system performance
- Work with databases and prepare technical documentation
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in CS, IT, or related fields
- Basic programming knowledge (PHP, JavaScript, etc.)
- Understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, APIs)
- Problem-solving mindset and teamwork
Job Details
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in developing and maintaining web applications
- Support backend and/or frontend development tasks
- Fix bugs and improve system performance
- Work with databases (basic queries, data handling)
- Prepare simple technical documentation
- Collaborate with designers and other developers
- Participate in testing and deployment processes
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related fields
- Basic knowledge of programming (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, or similar)
- Understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, APIs)
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment
Bonus Points If You
- Have built personal or academic projects (GitHub is a plus)
- Familiar with frameworks (e.g., Laravel, React, etc.)
- Have basic knowledge of SQL or databases
- Understand version control (Git)
- AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
