Technical Engineer
Job Summary
As a Technical Engineer, you will design practical technical solutions and develop construction details to move projects from concept to completed build. You will help scale delivery by improving buildability, coordinating technical inputs, and supporting on-site teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and around 5 years of practical experience on building or infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Translate design intent into detailed shop drawings and technical specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to check workmanship and materials
- Prepare technical reports, method statements, and as-built records
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Around 5 years of practical experience in Malaysia
- Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM or Revit
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes
Job Details
Project & Technical Management

- Review consultant inputs and coordinate design changes to keep work buildable and on schedule.
Site Coordination & Quality
- Conduct regular site inspections to check workmanship, materials, and adherence to design.
- Work with site supervisors and contractors to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions quickly.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare technical reports, method statements, and as-built records for handover.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Around 5 years of practical experience on building or infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in AutoCAD and experience with BIM or Revit, plus basic structural calculation tools.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, construction methods, and materials.
Soft Skills & Qualities
- Clear communicator able to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable making on-site technical decisions.
