Job Summary
A cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases, handling cash and electronic payments, issuing receipts, and providing friendly customer service while maintaining accurate transaction records. The role requires ensuring accurate financial transactions and a pleasant experience for customers. The candidate must be capable of operating POS systems and handling customer inquiries professionally.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers politely and assist with purchases
- Scan items and process payments (cash, debit/credit cards, e-wallets)
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately
- Operate the cash register or POS (Point of Sale) system
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of cashier counter area
- Promote loyalty programs or ongoing promotions if required
- Restock small items near checkout counters when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM qualification (common in Malaysia)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English
- Honest, responsible, and customer-friendly
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage but often not required
