Delivery Assistant
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Delivery Assistant (Kelindan) to support our delivery operations by assisting the driver in delivering office equipment and machines safely, accurately, and on time. Your role includes loading and unloading goods, checking delivery items, and providing excellent customer service. No experience is required as long as you are willing to learn and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist driver in loading, unloading and delivering items safely
- Check delivery orders and handle documents/payments
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operate tools safely
- Provide polite customer service and report any issues
Required Skills
- Minimum SPM or equivalent
- Physically fit to lift heavy items and work outdoors
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Valid Class D or GDL driving licence (advantageous)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery Operations
- Assist the driver in loading, unloading, and delivering machines, equipment, and other items safely and on time.
- Ensure all items are properly packed, secured, and protected before transportation.
- Check delivery orders before leaving and after delivery to ensure all items are complete and correct.
- Assist in unloading shipments into the warehouse, store, or factory when required.
- Follow the delivery schedule and assigned routes with the driver.
Customer Service
- Be polite and professional when dealing with customers.
- Assist the driver in obtaining the customer's signature and company stamp (if required) as proof of delivery.
- Collect payment from customers when instructed.
- Inform the supervisor or driver immediately if there are any delivery issues or customer complaints.
Equipment & Vehicle Care
- Assist in operating delivery equipment or tools (such as a climbing robot) safely and according to instructions.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, tidy, and well-organised.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained after use.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company policies, safety rules, and traffic regulations.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work.
- Always maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Teamwork
- Work closely with the Operations team and other departments to ensure daily delivery activities are completed smoothly.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by your immediate superior.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse work is an advantage, but not compulsory.
- Fresh school leavers are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of safe working practices.
- Able to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Good customer service attitude.
- Able to manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and carry out physical work for extended periods.
- Willing to work outdoors when required.
Additional Requirements
- Possess a valid Class D driving licence is an advantage.
- GDL licence is an added advantage but not compulsory.
- Willing to travel outstation when required.
