Civil Structural Design Engineer
Job Summary
The Civil Structural Design Engineer is responsible for performing technical designs, analyses, and calculations for client projects. This role involves liaising with project managers, contractors, and authorities to ensure engineering standards and project requirements are met. The engineer will also manage drawing revisions, provide technical inputs for QC activities, and resolve site-related issues.

Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform technical design including proposal, plan, analysis, calculation and estimation in handling client's enquiry.
- Gather and provide technical inputs and product specifications.
- Improve designs based on project and client requirements.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with Project managers, contractors, developers, and authority officers on project design, drawing, regulatory requirements, resolving site issues, and any necessary action.
- Work closely and regularly update draughtsmen on any design changes and/or drawing revisions.
- Manage drawing preparations, including providing information, giving instructions, reviewing, checking for completeness and correctness, and amendments.
- Follow up on project technical issues, visit and meet with clients and/or authority officers.
- Attend customer interfaces for technical support and issue resolution.
- Provide technical inputs to projects, engineering, and QC activities to ensure projects meet customer expectations, engineering design standards, and relevant environmental, safety, and health requirements.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the project manager or directors and be prepared for ad-hoc work and/or projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia (Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred (New graduates are welcome to apply).
- Essential Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in software such as Staads.Pro, Tekla, Prota, Orion, and Infravera; experience in Steel Structure Design is a plus.
- Preferably seeking a Senior Executive with a specialization in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or a related field.
- Must have personal transportation.
- Open to travel if needed to work at the site office.
- Skilled in producing detailed technical documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and reports.
- Goal-oriented with a focus on efficient and effective execution, responsive, responsible, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with contractors, developers, and regulatory officials.
- Highly self-driven and able to perform well under pressure.
