Intern Technician Support
Job Summary
The Internship Technician Support role provides hands-on experience in fiber optic, UTP cabling, and PABX installation. Interns will assist in site projects, equipment preparation, and technical documentation under professional supervision. This position focuses on developing practical troubleshooting skills and professional discipline in real-world technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in fiber and UTP cabling installation
- Support PABX, CCTV, and video conference configuration
- Maintain daily logbooks and site documentation
- Support installation and maintenance at outstation project sites
Required Skills
- SKM3/SPM/Certificate/Diploma holder
- Basic knowledge of networking or cabling
- Ability to travel for outstation projects
- Proficiency in Malay and English
Job Details
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in Fiber & UTP cabling installation (basic tagging, labeling, and site preparation).
- Support Wiring & Telephone/PABX setup under supervision.
- Help in Video Conference & CCTV configuration (basic testing and reporting).
- Prepare and maintain daily logbook, job sheets, and site documentation.
- Accompany team for outstation projects (PDRM, ATM, MINDEF, TM, etc.) to assist in installation and maintenance.
- Ensure tools and equipment are prepared and returned after use.
- Report technical issues or irregularities to supervisor promptly.
- Follow safety guidelines, company policies, and supervisor instructions.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Exposure to real project environments (fiber optic, PABX, CCTV, video conference).
- Hands-on experience in technical installation and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of documentation and reporting standards in technical projects.
- Development of teamwork, discipline, and communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- SKM3 / SPM / Certificate / Diploma ONLY.
- Willing to learn, fast learner, able to work outstation.
- Basic knowledge in cabling, networking, or communication systems is an advantage.
- Speaks Malay (Primary) & English.
