Job Summary
Dormez Fabrication Sdn Bhd is seeking an Operations Improvement Intern to assist with workflow optimization, data analytics, and documentation using AI tools and automation. The intern will gain hands-on experience in end-to-end production, supply chain, manufacturing management, and ERP system execution. This role requires pursuing a relevant degree and offers an opportunity to build real-world digital transformation skills.
Responsibilities
- Optimize workflows using AI and Excel/VBA
- Analyze operational data and assist with dashboards
- Draft SOPs and process maps using AI assistants
- Support operations management with digital projects

Job Details
Workflow Optimization: Leverage AI tools to explore and prototype innovative operational solutions, automate routine task execution, and optimize Excel formulas/VBA scripts.
Data Analytics: Extract, clean, and analyze multi-system operational data, using AI tools for rapid data summaries and assisting in building real-time dashboards.
Documentation: Utilize AI assistants to accelerate drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and operational guides within SharePoint.
General Operational Support: Assist the Operations Management team with ad-hoc analytical assignments and special digital transformation projects.
Learning & Development / Internship Outcomes
End-to-End Production & Supply Chain: Gain a thorough understanding of the backbone of product manufacturing—from raw material planning and production execution to final delivery to end customers across e-commerce platforms and OEM channels.
Manufacturing & Operations Management: Learn practical management processes within the manufacturing industry, including shop-floor tracking, process optimization, and operational efficiency metrics.
Warehousing & Inventory Control: Master key warehousing concepts, inventory management techniques, material flows, and order fulfillment strategies across multi-channel distribution.
ERP System Execution: Receive hands-on exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, learning how core business operations integrate with systems like AutoCount, WMS, and MES.
Practical Automation & AI Application: Build real-world experience leveraging Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and modern AI tools to digitize and automate live operational workflows.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
No prior full-time working experience is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, with basic exposure to generative AI tools.
Basic knowledge of and interest in workflow automation, including low-code tools and AI features.
Familiarity with operational systems or accounting software is an added advantage.
Familiarity with AI tools and basic prompt writing for drafting documents and analyzing operational data.
Possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Willing to learn and contribute fresh ideas to improve operational processes.
