Job Summary
ROOMIE Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Software Development Project Coordinator & Functional Tester to manage project workflows and execute QA testing. The role requires coordinating between developers and stakeholders while ensuring software quality across platforms. Responsibilities
- Manage project tasks, workflows, and cross-functional communication
- Track risks, blockers, and maintain project documentation
- Create test plans, write test cases, and execute functional/regression testing
- Track bugs, verify resolutions, and support UAT

Job Responsibilities
Project Coordination (50%)
- Task & Workflow Management: Maintain and update project boards, ensuring accurate ticket statuses, assignments, and estimations.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the primary liaison between developers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to keep project timelines aligned.
- Risk & Blocker Tracking: Identify operational bottlenecks, escalate blockers, and proactively track dependencies to ensure on-time release schedules.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare regular sprint progress reports, keep project documentation up to date, and track key operational metrics.
Functional Testing & Quality Assurance (50%)
- Test Plan & Case Creation: Review product requirements/user stories and write detailed, reproducible manual test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Functional & Regression Testing: Execute end-to-end functional, smoke, integration, and regression testing across web and mobile platforms prior to release deployment.
- Bug Tracking & Verification: Document bugs with detailed reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots; track bug resolution through the development lifecycle.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support business stakeholders during UAT phases by validating features against real-world business requirements.
- Quality Advocacy: Participate in requirement reviews to identify potential edge cases, ambiguities, and usability issues before code development begins.
Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Work experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in engineering or product operations or related fields.
- QA Knowledge: Hands-on experience writing functional test cases, executing manual tests, and conducting bug regression.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a passion for software quality.
- API Testing: Familiarity with basic API testing tools (e.g. Postman) to send API requests, verify data accuracy and identify potential integration issues.
- SQL & Database Validation: Basic knowledge to query databases, verify data accuracy and consistency.
