Junior Bookkeeper & Secretary
Job Summary
As a Junior Bookkeeper & Company Secretary, you will handle full-set accounts, prepare management reports, and manage company secretarial tasks to ensure regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior accountants and clients to maintain accurate ledgers and timely SSM submissions. This role offers hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms and professional growth in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-set bookkeeping and daily postings using AutoCount, QuickBooks and Xero
- Prepare month-end routines, bank reconciliations and management accounts
- Handle SSM submissions, draft resolutions and maintain statutory records
- Liaise with clients, auditors, and authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
Required Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 1-2 years experience in bookkeeping and company secretarial work
- Proficiency in AutoCount, QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with SSM, CRS, MYDATA, and MBRS systems

Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
You will manage full-set bookkeeping and daily postings using AutoCount, QuickBooks and Xero to keep ledgers accurate and current.
You will prepare month-end routines, bank reconciliations and clear management accounts for client review.
You will organise supporting schedules and assist senior accountants during audits to ensure timely close and query resolution.
Company Secretarial & Compliance
You will draft resolutions, maintain statutory registers and prepare routine statutory documents for filing.
You will manage SSM submissions and related e-filing where applicable, using CRS, MYDATA and MBRS as needed.
You will maintain company records and ensure all filings meet regulatory deadlines to reduce compliance risk.
Client & Team Collaboration
You will liaise directly with clients, auditors and authorities to collect information and explain account and filing statuses.
You will work closely with senior accountants and the client service team to prioritise tasks and deliver on-time outcomes.
You will take ownership of assigned client files and follow through to keep clients calm and well informed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
At least 1 to 2 years of practical experience in bookkeeping and company secretarial work within an accounting practice or firm.
Based in or able to commute within Klang Valley and have own transport available.
Malaysian nationality only.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
Hands-on experience with AutoCount, QuickBooks and Xero is required for daily bookkeeping and cloud processing.
Familiarity with SSM systems such as CRS, MYDATA and MBRS is an advantage and will help with day-to-day filings.
Comfortable preparing management accounts, reconciliations and basic audit support schedules.
Proficient with Excel and able to extract and present accounting reports from cloud systems.
