Job Summary

Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents while monitoring overall project expenditure. Evaluate quotations, manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts for construction projects. Assist in contract administration and collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors on commercial matters.

Job Details

Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents. Prepare and evaluate quotations, tender submissions and subcontractor quotations. Monitor project costs, budgets and overall expenditure. Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), final accounts and payment certificates. Conduct measurement and valuation of construction works. Check and verify subcontractors’ claims and payment applications. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors on commercial and contractual matters. Monitor project variations, costs and potential cost implications. Assist in contract administration, including preparation and review of contract documents. Maintain proper records of project costs, claims, variations and related documentation. Attend site meetings, joint measurements and site inspections when required. Assist the Project Manager and management in cost control and commercial matters. Perform any other duties related to quantity surveying and project commercial management as assigned. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field. Relevant experience in construction/QS work is preferred. Familiar with construction contracts, BQ, progress claims, VO and final accounts. Good knowledge of construction materials, methods and costing. Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of QS software is an advantage. Able to work independently and meet deadlines. Willing to travel to project sites when required.
