IT Technical Assistant
Job Summary
This is an IT Technical Assistant Internship where you will gain hands-on experience fixing real hardware and systems. You will support device fleets, assist engineers, and help build and scale internal IT and hardware support processes. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, automating routine tasks, and collaborating directly with engineering and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and basic embedded hardware
- Install and configure operating systems and essential software
- Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks and test setups
- Log incidents, write troubleshooting guides, and maintain inventory records

Job Details
Hardware & Systems Support
Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, peripherals, and basic embedded hardware using standard troubleshooting steps.
Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and essential software on workstations and test devices.
Automation & Tools
Help create simple scripts or jobs to automate repetitive tasks and speed up test setups.
Assist in maintaining imaging tools, test benches, and basic lab equipment.
Documentation & Collaboration
Log incidents, write clear troubleshooting guides, and keep inventory records for hardware and spare parts.
Work with engineers to reproduce issues and support component testing during product cycles.
Qualifications & Experience
Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field.
0 years of professional experience expected; prior lab or personal projects are a plus.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
Basic hardware troubleshooting and PC assembly or repair experience.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and basic scripting.
Comfortable using version control tools such as Git and creating simple automation scripts.
Soft Skills & Qualities
Clear communicator who can write concise documentation and explain technical steps to non-technical teammates.
Curious, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands-on lab environment with attention to detail.
