Media Research Intern

Assist the team in conducting research on media, journalism, digital platforms, copyright, and related policy matters. Assist in research and preparation of information relating to the establishment of a Collective Management Organisation (CMO) for news publishers. Support the preparation of research notes, briefing materials, presentations, reports, and other project documents. Assist in gathering and organising information on relevant stakeholders, media organisations, government agencies, industry partners, and other relevant parties. Assist in the preparation and coordination of stakeholder meetings, consultations, workshops, and engagement sessions. Support the team in organising events, conferences, meetings, and official programmes organised by Majlis Media Malaysia. Assist in preparing meeting agendas, taking meeting notes/minutes, and maintaining project records and documentation. Provide general administrative and secretariat support for ongoing projects and activities. Assist with other tasks and assignments related to the team’s projects as directed by the supervisor. Requirements: Undergraduate or recent graduate in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong research, writing, communication, and organisational skills. Proficient in Google Workspace. Proficient in use of AI prompting for research (Gemini, ChatGPT). Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
