Laboratory Technician

Position Overview Perform microbiological sampling and testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental swabs. Conduct microbiological analyses including antimicrobial activity testing, Total Plate Count (TPC), Yeast & Mold, Coliforms, E. coli, and other laboratory testing. Prepare culture media, reagents, laboratory solutions, and maintain microbiological cultures according to SOPs. Record, analyse, and document laboratory results accurately while maintaining complete laboratory records. Support laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, environmental monitoring, and laboratory safety practices. Assist in R&D projects, laboratory purchasing, method validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with our scientists to develop innovative technologies that preserve beneficial bacteria while combating harmful microorganisms. Job Requirements Minimum SPM, Diploma or Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or related disciplines. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Basic knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques and aseptic practices. Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or ISO laboratory standards is an added advantage. Strong attention to detail with good documentation and record-keeping skills. Able to work independently while maintaining high laboratory standards. Good command of written and spoken English. Able to communicate in both Mandarin and English, as this role works closely with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and suppliers.
