Part-Time Sales

Responsibilities Customer Engagement - Greet customers and listen to their needs, guiding them to suitable products with clear, friendly advice. - Handle product demonstrations and explain features so customers understand value and fit. - Process transactions accurately at the till and follow up on simple customer queries after purchase. - Record customer preferences and feedback to help the team improve store offerings. Sales Operations - Operate the POS system and manage cash handling with care to keep daily records accurate. - Support basic stock counts and receive deliveries to ensure shelves are replenished on time. - Assist with simple daily sales reporting and share customer trends with the supervisor. - Follow store opening and closing procedures to maintain a secure shop environment. Store Presentation - Maintain tidy displays and tidy backstock so products are easy to find and attractive to customers. - Carry out basic visual merchandising changes under guidance to highlight promotions and new arrivals. - Ensure product tags, pricing and signage are correct and easy to read. - Support small event or promotion setups when the store has special sales. Requirements Qualifications & Experience - Minimum education: SPM or equivalent preferred, but we welcome fresh graduates and students. - No prior retail experience required; we provide on-the-job training for sales and POS tasks. - Available to work flexible part-time shifts, including weekends and public holidays as rostered. Hard Skills & Knowledge - Basic cash handling and numeracy for accurate transaction processing. - Familiarity or willingness to learn a Point of Sale system and simple stock procedures. - Basic knowledge of consumer products or a keen interest in water sports gear is a plus. - Able to perform light physical tasks such as moving boxes and arranging displays. Soft Skills & Qualities - Strong communication skills with a friendly, patient attitude when helping customers. - Reliable, punctual, and able to follow simple procedures with attention to detail. - Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction from supervisors. - Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to stay calm during busy periods.
