Retail Assistant
Job Summary
HYGR SDN BHD is hiring a Retail Assistant for a 6-month renewable contract position at IOI City Putrajaya. The role involves greeting customers, processing sales transactions, managing stock, and handling cash. Candidates should have a minimum SPM qualification, good communication skills, and a customer-oriented personality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with product information and recommendations.
- Process purchases via Point of Sales (POS) or manually and handle cash/digital payments.
- Maintain cart cleanliness, organization, stock levels, and submit daily sales and stock reports.
Required Skills
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of cashier/POS system
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Job Details
Full-time position (Contract 6month- renewable)
Customer service: Greet and assist walk in customers with product info and recommendations.
Sampling: Distribute samples hygienically - clean testers before and after shifts
Sales transaction: Process purchases via Point of Sales (POS) or manually - ensure accurate records
Cart maintenance: Keep cart clean, organized and well stocked at all time
Cash handling: Reconcile cash and digital payments at day-end; report discrepancies.
Reporting: Submit daily sales, cash and stock report - alert supervisor on low or fast moving stock
Product knowledge: Stay updated on product features, ingredients, and promotion to better assist customers
Working time: 9:30AM - 5:30PM/2PM -10PM 6 days per week Monday to Sunday (Off on Weekend (Saturday or Sunday) Off Public Holiday
Requirements:
Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
Previous retail/customer service experience is an advantage
Friendly, well-groomed, and customer-oriented personality
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn
Basic knowledge of cashier/POS system is an added advantage
Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English
