Resident Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Resident Engineer (C&S) to review and supervise construction activities, ensure compliance with standards, and manage technical submissions. The ideal candidate will conduct regular site inspections, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain technical reports. Requirements include a relevant engineering degree, BEM/IEM registration, and extensive building construction experience.

Job Details
Review and supervise construction activities, sequencing, and contractor performance to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Review and verify technical submissions, including shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, testing and commissioning activities, and ensure approved documents are properly implemented on-site.
Conduct regular site inspections, technical supervision, and witnessing of works, including civil and structural, architectural, M&E coordination, quality control, site safety, and progress monitoring.
Manage non-conformances, inspection of works (IOWs), defects, and technical issues, ensuring timely corrective actions and compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams (Architectural, C&S, M&E, Landscape, ID, and Quantity Surveying) to resolve technical and design-related matters.
Prepare and maintain technical reports, inspection records, quality and defect reports, non-compliance reports, meeting documentation, and other project deliverables, while attending site and technical meetings with clients and authorities.
Requirements:
Degree in C&S or related Engineering field.
Registered with BEM/IEM.
Minimum 10 years of building construction experience, 2-3 completed high-rise residential projects.
Strong QA/QC background, structural inspection capability, and experience dealing with directly with consultants, clients, and authorities.
Strong technical knowledge in geo, civil structural, pre-cast, post tension and steel works, construction methods is an advantage.
Proficient in reporting, documentation, and familiar with green building initiatives (e.g., GBI, LEED) is an advantage.
