Electrical Engineering Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic students for an Electrical Engineering Internship to gain on-site exposure to electrical installation, testing, and commissioning. Interns will support live site operations, assist with inspections, and maintain project records under experienced mentors. The role is designed to accelerate practical skills, build a strong portfolio, and expand professional networks in the construction and engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical installation and wiring at construction sites
- Assist with site inspections, testing, and commissioning
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and project records
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
Required Skills
- Pursuing Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation and wiring
- Familiarity with MS Office for reporting
- Valid CIDB Green Card and own transportation

Responsibilities
Site Support & Field Work
- Support engineers and supervisors in executing electrical installation and wiring tasks at construction sites.
- Travel to project sites, follow on-site safety procedures, and adapt to a fast-paced construction environment.
Testing, Inspection & Commissioning
- Take part in site inspections, assist with basic testing, and help during commissioning under supervision.
- Record test results and report any issues promptly to your supervisor.
Documentation & Coordination
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, daily reports, and project records.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers as directed, and perform other engineering-related tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Available for a 3 to 6 month internship (Working hour: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM).
- Have your own transportation and are willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Possess a valid CIDB Green Card or are willing to obtain one before reporting for duty.
Hard Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation, wiring, and reading schematics, or eagerness to develop these skills on site.
- Understand or willing to learn site testing and commissioning fundamentals.
- Ability to use MS Office to prepare reports and maintain project records.
