Business Development Intern
Job Summary
Beyond the Match, an early-stage Singapore startup using AI for dating and relationships, is seeking a Business Development Intern to work directly with the founding team. The intern will run growth experiments, build communities, recruit and onboard beta users, and analyze user behavior and feedback. Responsibilities include researching community content across platforms, testing distribution approaches, gathering user feedback, and leveraging AI tools for research and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Run growth experiments across Reddit, TikTok, and Facebook
- Recruit and onboard beta users while tracking acquisition sources
- Gather and analyze user feedback to identify patterns
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, content development, and analysis
Required Skills
- Understanding of online communities like Reddit, TikTok, and Facebook
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Strong communication and independent problem-solving skills
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to experiment

Requirements Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Research what works and does not work across Reddit, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant communities
- Understand platform and community rules, including what can and cannot be posted
- Identify popular topics, formats, conversations and emerging trends
- Study successful and unsuccessful posts to understand why they perform differently
- Test different content, hooks, communities and distribution approaches
- Post and adapt approved content for different platforms
- Identify and recruit suitable users for our beta
- Help onboard and engage beta participants
- Track where users come from and which recruitment approaches work
- Gather feedback and identify why users participate, hesitate or drop off
- Turn individual feedback into useful patterns and recommendations
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, content development and analysis
- Analyse online conversations and user feedback for recurring themes
- Compare experiments and identify patterns
- Help the team decide what to test next
What We're Looking For:
- Understand Reddit, TikTok, Facebook or online communities
- Curious about dating, relationships, consumer behaviour or startups
- Comfortable communicating with people online
- Enjoy investigating why things work
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Can work independently and learn quickly
- Willing to execute, not just research and present
- Marketing experience is useful, but not essential; curiosity, resourcefulness and willingness to experiment matter more
