Job Summary
The Retail Assistant will provide personalized customer service to cat owners, ensuring product recommendations and general cat care advice are effectively communicated. The role involves managing retail operations, including inventory maintenance, POS operation, and financial reconciliation. Additionally, the assistant will handle service bookings and maintain organized customer databases.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised assistance to help customers find products and services suitable for their cats.
- Educate customers on product benefits and usage.
- Maintain an organised, clean and visually appealing retail space.
- Stock shelves, monitor inventory level and communicate restocking needs.
- Operate the POS, process payments accurately and reconcile daily takings at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, daily stock counts and pricing.
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly.
- Handle bookings for boarding and grooming jobs, send media updates and reports to cat owners.
- Maintain a clean customer database.
- Resolve customer complaints.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of customer-facing experience.
- Experience handling messaging channel (whatsapp, Instagram DMs).
- Familiar with POS systems and able to reconcile cash, card and e-wallet payments at end of day.
- Excellent verbal and written English and BM required.
- Calm under pressure when dealing with anxious cat owners.
- Passionate about cats with enough cat care knowledge to answer questions confidently.
